Larry Horwitz
Larry Horwitz has been President of The Economic Alliance for Michigan, the statewide business-labor coalition, since 1997. Prior to this position, he served as the organization’s Executive Vice-President since its inception in 1982. Horwitz has served as vice-president of New Detroit, Inc., the nation’s first urban coalition, and held positions as a political campaign consultant and Congressional and Legislative staffer.
The Alliance includes primarily for-profit companies and labor organizations representing workers at for-profit businesses. Corporate members are large and small companies from many different economic sectors. Union members include most major segments of Michigan’s labor movement.nie
In 2006, Horwitz became an Officer for the Michigan Health Insurance Access Advisory Council.
