Rob Fowler
Rob Fowler is President and CEO of the Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM). He assumed his current position in July of 2003 and, before joining SBAM in 2000, he served for three years as the Vice President of the subsidiary corporation, Small Business Insurance Services.
SBAM was founded in 1969 and today serves more than 5,000 member companies from all of Michigan’s 83 counties.
Fowler is a registered lobbyist representing small business before the Michigan legislature and also serves as the President of the Small Business Foundation of Michigan, a wholly owned subsidiary of SBAM. In addition, Fowler holds the chairmanship of the Michigan Health Insurance Access Advisory Council (MHIAC) and also serves as Chair of the Business Advisory Committee of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA). He is a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the National Small Business Association and serves on the Governors Council of Economic Advisors.
Mr. Fowler holds a degree in Political Science from Ball State University and now serves on the university’s National Development Council.
